In this blog, I introduce Showtime. Showtime is what you bring to every interaction with another person.

Bruce Springsteen was once asked how he created the biggest and best three hour shows every night. His answer was simple, yet elegant. He noted that while he had performed thousands of times, tonight for some people in the audience, this will be the only time they ever see him. Springsteen then confided that he plays each night for that person.

Showtime is about ensuring there is a hidden 5-10% performance-anxiety which creates healthy pressure.

Showtime is about being consistent in constantly franking your past performance.

Showtime requires doing the preparation before the show.

Showtime requires you to be truly present during the show.

Showtime requires delivering on your promises.

Showtime requires unwavering honesty because you can’t fake Showtime.

Showtime requires authenticity.

Showtime requires vulnerability.

Showtime requires communicating with an open heart and mind.

Showtime requires listening.

Showtime requires sensitivity, kindness & empathy.

Showtime requires confidence.

Showtime requires self-belief.

Be a Master in your field.

Practice your craft.

The show must go on.
