The Physical & Remote Workplace Dilemma

The Physical & Remote Workplace Dilemma

Possibly the biggest decision for Business Owners in 2021 is what their workplace will look like.

My clients and I have been working through creating a Workplace Plan for 2021 where we map out the workplace in relation to physical (employees attending business premises) and remote working arrangements (employees working from home).

Let’s pull apart the physical & remote workplace dilemma.

It starts with an assessment of the pros and cons of the two options.

Pattern Recognition

Pattern Recognition

Pattern recognition is where information is classified based on information already gained, or from information extracted from patterns identified. Pattern recognition can be automated pattern recognition through computerised machine-learning. Alternatively, personal pattern recognition can be performed mentally (subconsciously) by individuals with expertise in a field.

In this blog, I explore how we use personal pattern recognition to support executing our edge in business.

The Work

The Work

The Work is what you need to do to complete your task effectively and efficiently. To consistently meet time, cost and quality in providing your product or service.

Many business owners want to experience the rewards of business success without doing The Work.

In this blog I explore what doing The Work really means and why you must commit yourself to The Work in order to achieve sustainable business success.

The Process 2.0

The Process 2.0

I’m revisiting my earlier blog commentary on committing to The Process. The Process is the series of steps you take to deliver your products or services on time, cost and quality.

Just because of a pandemic, doesn’t mean you waiver on your commitment to The Process. In fact, you need to review The Process and modify it for anything resultant from changing economic trading conditions.

I call this The Process 2.0

Developing Successful Businesses and People through Community Involvement

I was fortunate recently to be approached by Cathryn Mahon of the Community Heroes Podcast to interview me on my business and earlier charity work with the late Jim Stynes’ Reach Foundation. While my volunteer work was some time ago now, it was great to remember this important work and remind myself why I encourage business owners to explore a philanthropic connection. In this podcast, Cathryn was also kind enough to get me to share some of my key business philosophies and tactics to be your best.

Thank you Cathryn for inviting me to participate.
